The games: The old games are the only good ones. The new Sonic games are lame, cheesy, and PHAIL. They try to cover this up by creating new characters, such as Silver and Blaze, and by copying ideas from Mario games. ( Mario Cart > Sonic Riders [ Why do they need hoverboards is they can run 5 times as fast? ] / Mario Tennis > Sega Superstar Tennis )

The TV shows: The old Sonic show was funny, and even had an educational part at the end of every episode for its younger viewers. The new Sonic show has 4kids homo'ed all over it with its censoring, cheesy diolouge, and pointless characters. The art style was better back then too. The old Sonic had its very own art syle. The new Sonic had to be unoriginal and switch to an anime setting. Sonic may look more sleek now, but something about Sonic and Tail's old art style just clicks.

The character: Robotnik > Eggman

Scratch & Grounder > Shadow

This is because of comedy. The new show is too serious, without funny parts or characters, such as Robotnik, to lighten things up. The old show was pretty much comedy, which is what a children's show should be. Yes, the old show didnt have action, but thats because Sonic targets a younger audience. The Sonic anime has no comedy, and therefore fails as a kids show. ( Dont say its not a childrens show, because it is. Its on 4KIDS which is proof enough. )

Fanboys: I'm pretty sure there are lots of people who liked Sonic back then, but nobody really obsessed over it. Now that the new, lamer version of Sonic is out, fanboyism is through the roof for some reason. This is the biggest reason why I hate the newer Sonic.

To all the tourneytards out there, grow up. If you lose because you were hit by an item or a because of the stage, oh well. By playing on the same stage as you, your opponents have the same risk of losing as you do. Its the wide array characters,fun items and wacky stages to play with is what makes the games fun. And if youre not having fun, you might as well as break the disk in half and throw it away.
